April Celeste Robinson Leviton

Biography: April received an M.P.H. in Health Policy, Law, and Ethics from the University of Virginia in 2017 and a B.A. in Public Health Policy from UC Irvine in 2015. Her specializations are Criminology and Socio-legal studies and Medical Sociology. She is interested in studying violent extremism and mass violence from sociological and public health perspectives. She is interested generally in countering violent extremism, preventing mass violence, understanding social determinants of health, and improving health outcomes. She uses mixed methods in her research, with an emphasis in qualitative research.
