Short Bio:
Jesse Fletcher was born and raised in Southern California.  He discovered sociology in a community college near his hometown, and has pursued it with a passion ever since.  Maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout his entire graduate career, Jesse's interests lie primarily in sociological theory and social psychology.  His dissertation is a small but significant challenge to the cognitive consistency model which underlies most contemporary social psychology.  Jesse has a passion for teaching, and was awarded "Outstanding Teaching Assistant 2008-2009" at UC Riverside.  However, Jesse's main goals lie in the realm of research.  He worked in the Social Psychology Research Laboratory (SPYRL) on the UC Riverside campus for two years, both as an experimental confederate and as a paid graduate student researcher.  During this time he learned how to design and run experiments and surveys, as well as how to write and publish scholarly works.  In his spare time, he enjoys creating and running computer model simulations of theories, and has experience designing both agent-based and system-based models.  He has taught university classes on organizations, institutions, and statistics, and has started a website business offering statistical consultations and analyses.
