Biography:

I was privileged to be a co-organizer and co-facilitator of the Solidarity Work Organizing Retreat held at the UCLA Conference Center, Lake Arrowhead CA, May 4-7, 2006. This was a space where scholars, policy makers and grassroots activists would come together to discuss human rights issues as they affect women and children globally. Funding was provided through the Cloning cultures Grant from the Ford Foundation. I am currently a member of the editorial collective for Salty an anti-imperialist, pro-labor and antiracist feminist zine which is now under the auspices of the Center for Women In Coalition (CWIC). I am also currently an active board member of the CWIC. Additionally I was co-organizer for the Mount San Jacinto Community College First Annual Eagle Powwow. Funding was received from the Riverside County Prevention Education Trust for work with youth with the cooperation of Hemet Unified School District to teach community activism.
