Biography:

I am interested in the inequalities that persist in today's society, both locally and globally. Locally, I am concerned with the workplace and how labels serve as a basis of discrimination/inequality. I aim to investigate how people are able to overcome the labels/identities that are given to them because of the behavior they engage in that society labels as deviant. Globally, I am intrigued by the World Systems Theory and the inequality and exploitation that are created by global markets.
