Biography:
Born in Iran, raised in India and then the U.S. Preeta discovered Sociology as an undergraduate at UCR. She completed her MA thesis on the role of Agency and structure in women's experience with cosmetic surgery. Interests include and are not limited to transnational feminism particularly pertaining to Islamic Feminism vs. other Feminisms as well as criminological theory.
