Levin has a B.S. in Sociology from Boise State University (2011) and an M.A. in Sociology from University of Nevada, Reno (2013). Levin entered UCR in Fall 2016. Research interests include comparative historical methods and the intersection of warfare, global capitalism, and democracy. Using comparative historical methods, Levin seeks to examine the evolution of proxy warfare to understand the conditions under which nations use proxy warfare. Areas of specialization include Political Economy and Global Social Change and Race and Class Inequality.
