Erin holds a M.A. in Criminal Justice and plans to complete her PhD in Sociology in June 2014 specializing in Criminology and Gender Studies. Erin’s dissertation research examines sex offender legislation and social disorganization in California utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) technologies. Generally, her research interests include juvenile delinquency, gendered socialization, women & crime, and inequality & crime. She has been a part of several research collaboratives including a current project on inequality and cross-national homicide. Erin has served as a teaching assistant and instructor at UC Riverside and an instructor at CSU San Bernardino and Azusa Pacific University for a number of Sociology and Criminal Justice courses including Introduction to Sociology, Research Methods, Statistics, Race & Ethnicity, and Criminology.
