Curriculum Vitae

Rob Clark is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of California, Riverside. He received his Ph.D. in Sociology from Indiana University in 2007. Before moving to California in 2020, he was at the University of Oklahoma.

His research agenda focuses on international development, the distribution of income in the world economy, and the global spread of institutions across the world polity. He is particularly interested in the effect of globalization (trade, foreign investment, international organizations) on economic growth, the evolution of income disparities as they exist within and between countries, and cross-national convergence in welfare outcomes, institutional forms, and cultural scripts. Collectively, his prior and current work addresses questions of political economy and social change at the global level.

His research has appeared in International Sociology, Social Forces, Social Problems, Social Science and Medicine, Social Science Research, and elsewhere.
