Katherine Maldonado

Biography: Katherine received her BA in Chicana/o Studies from UCLA where she conducted research as a McNair research fellow. Katherine is a Pre-Doctoral Ford Foundation Fellow, American Sociology Association Minority Fellow and American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education fellow. Her research interests include gender, race, and class inequality, critical criminology, and visual and feminist methodologies. Research topics include state violence, criminal justice, child welfare, and immigration systems, mental health, and resistance in Latinx/Chicanx families.
