Biography: Teresa Neal Nagy earned a Master of Arts degree in History in 2006 advised by world historian, David Christian. Her study of the genealogy of world history as a field brought her into close contact with William H. McNeill in the last years of his life. With a strong interest in world civilizations and social evolution, she turned her attention to world-systems analysis and began working with Christopher Chase-Dunn and Alexandra Maryanski on premodern world-systems and interpolity networks, earning a Master of Arts degree in Sociology at UCR. She is currently writing her dissertation on the modern discourse of social and political tribalism and neo-nationalism in the 21st century.
