Medical Sociology: Reading Lists

Breadcrumb

In order to develop reading lists for comprehensive exams in medical sociology, students should contact the chair of the medical sociology committee to discuss the list construction process. You will then select individual professors in the medical sociology faculty and develop a list with those professors. Depending on the nature of your concentration in medical sociology you will select either two or three professors to develop lists with.  Speak with each professor about their preference regarding how the list will be constructed. There should not be extensive content overlap in the lists although some papers might be relevant to multiple domains. When your lists are complete submit them to the Chair of the medical sociology committee who will check to be sure they are sufficiently comprehensive and do not overlap too much.
